Wine:
Vinified in wooden and cement vats, then aged for three years in large oak casks, the 2019 Red Brunello di Montalcino delivers a striking aromatic profile. It reveals layers of red and black fruits, violet, tobacco, cocoa, and leather. Still youthfully reserved, the wine's powerful structure is supported by firm, abundant tannins, signaling its need for another 5 to 6 years of patience. This cool, complex vintage offers outstanding aging potential and embodies the very best of Montalcino. Widely regarded as one of the estate's finest wines to date, it has been awarded an impressive 98+/100 by Robert Parker.Vinification:
The vines are on average 20 to 25 years old and are located between 200 and 400 metres above sea level. Vinified in wooden truncated-cone vats and concrete vats for one month, then matured in 30 hectolitre Slavonian oak barrels for 36 months. Bottled in May 2023.

Founded in 1989 on the sought-after southeast slope of the Montalcino hillside, Poggio di Sotto has quickly established itself as one of the most iconic names in the appellation, celebrated for its ultra-classical style.
With vineyards set at altitude and cooled by fresh breezes, the estate avoids the extremes of summer heat, allowing for the production of wines with remarkable character. Spanning 10 hectares and farmed organically, Poggio di Sotto is a benchmark for authentic, terroir-driven Brunello.
