AWARDS

Robert Parker: 93/100

Wine:

The 2020 red Barbaresco Fausoni perfectly captures the nuances of its soil, with a very mineral profile and fresh, light floral and smoky aromas. Despite the warmth of the vintage, the wine preserves its freshness and delicacy, in a wonderfully nuanced score. All this is reminiscent, of course, of the great Burgundian Pinot Noirs... A wine that should be cellared to mature and enjoy to the full. Rated 93/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested. Aged in barrels for around 24 months, most of which on the lees. 15% of the oak barrels are new and all come from the François Frères cooperage in Burgundy.

Color:

Red with beautiful intensity and brilliance and depth.

Nose:

Fascinating nuances of ripe, fresh nebbiolo with red berry flavors and mineral notes.

Palate:

Ample and voluptuous, the palate is light, supple and pleasant, with velvety tannins and a fine, delicate structure.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Fiorentina steak, goose confit, pheasant with grapes.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2038
