Wine:

Bottled in January and tasted in preview by the Selection Committee, the 2017 white Côtes du Jura Vin Jaune comes from a frost-hit year that significantly reduced yields. This makes it a collector's item on several levels, as Vin Jaune production is limited, representing only about 4% of Jura's output. The 2017 vintage is a true rarity, with just 37 barrels produced, delivering a powerful wine that benefits from generous decanting. Its concentrated aromas are bold yet display a balanced oxidation, contrasting with an elegant finesse. The iconic "goût de jaune" feels timeless, revealing notes of walnuts and dried porcini mushrooms, leading into a palate remarkable for its breadth and strength. Potential for 30 years or more... Rated 96/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:
