Wine:
A remarkable balance of liveliness and indulgence, the 2022 White Arbois Chardonnay, aged in barrels, combines minerality, tension, and freshness with richly expressive fruit. Notes of yellow-fleshed fruit, white flowers, and a hint of anise blend into a structure that is both rounded and finely chiseled, with impressive length. A benchmark Chardonnay grown on clay-limestone soils.Vinification:
Hand harvested. Pressed 100% whole grapes in a pneumatic press. Spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts and aged for 12 months on fine lees 75% in barrels and foudres and 25% in stainless-steel vats, then 6 months in stainless-steel vats. Production of 18,000 bottles.Localities: Gaillard, Les Loges, La Bouthière, La Vasée, Le Clouzot, Fertans (Montigny), la Teppes aux loups, la Besivette (Arbois). Jura clay, limestone and marl soils. Vines planted between 1953 and 2018 and cultivated organically, undergoing certification since 2020.
