Wine:

Sublime! Made from century-old vines, the 2022 red Saumur-Champigny Les Mémoires delivers extraordinary power and depth. It's a poetic red, still a little austere at this stage, but destined for long aging. A Cabernet Franc transcended by the flint and limestone plateau of Dampierre, with an invigorating velvety texture and floral, fruity and licorice aromatic intensity. This wine is a cut above the rest in terms of refinement and delicious length.

Vinification:

Hand harvested in crates, fermented in 45hl open cement vats, vatted for 10 to 18 days, aged in 25hl round tuns and 600l barrels.

Certified organic and biodynamic wine.

Color:

Good intensity ruby.

Nose:

Aromas of red berries, wild strawberries and subtle hints of menthol.

Palate:

This wine reveals depth and power supported by a velvety, elegant structure.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.
