Wine:

The latest creation from the estate, the 2022 white Clos de la Coulée de Serrant, boasts an extraordinary character as it emerges from a great year with concentrated maturities and high sugar levels. As a result, this 2022 vintage displays 32 g/l of residual sugars and unfolds with notes of beeswax, apricot, and wheat. This slight sweetness, less noticeable in tasting than it might seem on the label, allows the wine to achieve real depth and balance, offering a superior mouthfeel, thanks to the drying of the grapes which expands the wine, carries its aromas, and gives it a lovely richness. All the markers of success are already in place to make it a wine of legacy!

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, vinified without chaptalization or relevurage, no temperature control, 1 or 2 rackings, stirring of the lees, very light "pre-filtration" filtration, aged in oak barrels for 6 to 8 months, new wood limited to 5%, light sulfiting before bottling.

Vineyard certified organic and biodynamic since 1981.

Intense, luminous gold.

Nose:

Complex aromatics through mature aromas evolving on notes of honey, apricot and wheat.

Palate:

This cuvée is deep, well-balanced and delicious, revealing fine flavors and a pleasant finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.
Storage: The low sulphur content, or even the absence of sulphur at bottling, requires cellar storage below 14°C to guarantee the quality and longevity of this wine.

Food and wine pairing:

Endives with ham and black truffle, turbo slices with mousseline sauce and citrus zest, poultry with Alba white truffle cream sauce.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2040.

Cultivated entirely in biodynamics for 40 years, the estate indeed produces the most complex and mysterious wine, which truly reveals itself only after several years of aging.
