Wine:

The 2023 Red Chinon Tradition delivers an irresistible expression of perfectly ripe Cabernet Franc. It opens with fine graphite notes, floral aromas, and dark fruit, all wrapped in a beautifully integrated élevage. On the palate, it’s full, juicy, and delicious—flowing like a fruit coulis with silky, delicate tannins. A pure, polished wine with impressive clarity, it will drink beautifully over the next 6 to 8 years, and likely beyond. Rated 93–94/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, vinified for 8 months in concrete vats.

Nose:

The nose is fresh, marked by fine graphite from the Cabernet, with perfect ripeness. Floral aromas of rose and dark berry notes

Palate:

The palate is silky and refined, with vibrant fruit flavors and exceptionally fine tannins. Surprisingly approachable at this early stage, it offers both charm and precision.

Temperature:

Decant before serving between 14 and 16°C.

Beef stew, capon stuffed with morel mushrooms, oven-roasted turkey, fine charcuterie, cheeses.
