The 2023 Vrshnik Cabernet Franc Red offers a remarkably clear expression of the grape’s identity, with delicate hints of graphite wrapped in pure, refined fruit, highlighted by notes of blackcurrant. Its structure is elegant, precise, and beautifully nuanced—showcasing a level of finesse that rivals some of the finest examples from the Loire Valley. A true favourite of the Selection Committee, rated 94/100.

Vinification:

Hand harvested at the end of September. Micro-fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature.

Color:

Bright ruby red.

Nose:

Complex aromas of graphite and blackcurrant.

Palate:

The palate is dense yet refined, with a sleek, understated style. Velvety tannins and a long, graceful finish complete the experience.

Temperature:

Serve at 14 to 16°C.
