The 2020 red Côte Rôtie La Viallière offers an authentic expression of its terroir, presenting a perfectly mature juice with juicy, spicy, and fresh fruit, mineralized by the graphite imprint of the soils. The oak is subtle and minimally impactful, with a captivating palate that's finely structured and edged with smooth tannins, providing the restraint necessary for good aging. This superb wine exudes great energy and promising potential.Vinification:
Hand harvested. 0.7-hectare plot, mass-selected Syrah (vieilles serines d'Ampuis). Grapes partially destemmed, fermented for 3 to 4 weeks in temperature-controlled vats, 100% indigenous yeasts, with punching down and pumping over. Aged 24 months in French oak barrels, 25% of which are new. Production of around 3,000 bottles a year.Certified organic by Ecocert.
