Wine:

Magnificent! The 2022 Red Châteauneuf-du-Pape has been hailed as a stunning wine by Olivier Poussier, Best Sommelier in the World and a member of our Selection Committee. With beautiful ripeness, this red exudes rare elegance, unfolding with delicate notes of garrigue, tapenade, and blood orange. The palate carries this graceful, refined profile, accented with southern tones of wild herbs and dry grass, delivering impressive volume, structure, and depth without heaviness. A truly exceptional wine, perfectly balanced and built for ageing over 15 to 20 years. Committee's Top Pick, rated 94/100.

Vinification:

Hand harvested in 50kg crates. Vinification with indigenous yeasts, maceration for 4 to 5 weeks. Aged in 350L concrete vats and foudres for 18 months.

Intense garnet red.

Nose:

Subtly perfumed aromas of blood orange, tapenade and garrigue.

Palate:

With a full-bodied texture, concentrated and flavourful on the palate, this wine offers impressive depth, leading to a long, lingering finish. A magnificent cuvée to discover.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Sweet-spiced duck breast, chanterelle and shallot fricassee, snacked beef pavé and reduced jus.
