Wine:
The 2022 Red Lirac La Lorentine is rich and velvety, showcasing beautifully ripe notes of dark fruit, bay leaf, wild herbs, and that distinct eucalyptus touch from Mourvèdre—truly raising the bar for its appellation. At the pinnacle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with an impressive 3-star rating from RVF, Domaine de Marcoux is a must-know estate in the southern Rhône Valley.
Using biodynamic practices, their wines have a rare, natural depth and energy, delivering power without relying on heavy oak. These are classic wines, driven by beautifully ripe Grenache, that age superbly and consistently lead the way in quality.
In the neighboring Lirac appellation, they bring the same commitment and skill, with results that are just as impressive—Olivier Poussier even considers their wines the best in the region.
