Wine:

The 2022 red Côte Rôtie La Rose Brune is a gem of power and substance. Marked by spices, a hint of cocoa, and sophisticated oak that will need time to refine and integrate, it presents a mature, serious, and concentrated profile with high-quality tannins. Patience is key: a year in the cellar will be necessary before enjoying it over the next decade or beyond. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, 50% of the grapes are crushed. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aged in two stages: 12 months in 228-liter barrels of 1 and 2 wines and 1/3 new barrels; 6 months in demi-muids containing 5 wines.

Color:

Dark, brilliant red with good intensity.

Nose:

Very concentrated, marked by black fruits, spices, chocolate and leather.

Palate:

Powerful and serious, with high-quality tannins, this wine offers concentrated juice with a beautiful relief.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Grilled fillet of beef with hearty jus, duck aiguillettes a la plancha, quail stuffed with grapes.
