Wine:

The 2022 Red Crozes-Hermitage Nobles Rives comes from high-altitude vineyards on the renowned Chassis plateau, where stony soils produce Syrahs of exceptional finesse and silkiness. Partially aged in oak, this wine delivers a flawless expression with ripe, fresh aromas, including the classic smoky-bacon notes, and a well-structured, polished texture. Rated 93+/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. 100% de-stemmed. Traditional fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel or concrete vats for 20 to 25 days with regular punching down of the cap, racking and pumping over, maintaining fermentation and maceration temperatures at around 26°C, malolactic fermentation in vats before ageing. Aged for 9 to 12 months, 60% in vats and 40% in 400-litre oak barrels of various ages.

Ripe, fresh aromas of black fruit mixed with lovely smoky notes.

Palate:

Full-bodied and balanced, with vibrant fruit aromas, this cuvée offers a well-structured profile with a polished, textured finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Traditional charcuterie, smoked duck breast, grilled beef, lamb chops with thyme, porcini risotto.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030.
