Wine:

Derived from several parcels on schist and granite soils, the 2022 red Côte-Rôtie Colline de Couzou asserts its Rhône Valley character with great elegance, featuring beautiful accents of pepper and spice. Concentrated yet refined, the structure stands out for the elegance of its tannins and a lovely persistence, beautifully accompanied by careful aging for 18 months in 400-liter barrels (with only 10% new oak). A juice suitable for excellent aging of 5 to 10 years. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, vinified in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, aged for 14 months in barrels, 10% of which are new.

Color:

Deep purplish red.

Nose:

Very typical Côte-Rôtie, a Syrah with beautiful granite accents, both spicy and peppery.

Palate:

Concentrated and fine, with delicate fruit, this cuvée boasts great elegance of tannin and long-lasting juice.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Filet of duckling with mushrooms, venison, duck breast.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030, and even longer for enthusiasts.
