Pure Grenache Noir, carried by flavors of pit fruit, rosewood and sweet spices, the 2021 red Chaupin Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a wine of charm and harmony, with a smooth, delicate texture and a more restrained power than in sunnier vintages. Very elegant and particularly tasty, it can be enjoyed from its earliest youth and for another ten years or so. Rated 94/100 RVF.Vinification:
Hand harvested and sorted on the vine. 80% de-stemming, 26-day maceration with daily manual punching of the cap. Aged for 12 months, 2/3 in foudres and 1/3 in demi-muids (600 liters).
