Wine:

The 2021 White Saint-Joseph Les Granits is made entirely from Marsanne, sourced from the oldest vines on this historic hillside in Tournon. The steep slopes require hand harvesting, and the grapes are carefully pressed and aged on lees to enhance depth and texture. The result is a beautifully aromatic, floral wine with notes of honeysuckle, honey, and white fruits, perfectly balanced. Its taut, mineral-driven palate leads to a lightly spiced finish, which will develop richer honeyed tones with time.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Whole grapes pressed. Settling for 24 to 48 hours. Half of the wine fermented in vats and half in demi-muids. Aged on lees for 8 to 10 months, with stirring. Blend of the two parts before bottling.

Certified organic and biodynamic wine.

Color:

Bright golden yellow.

Nose:

Floral notes of honeysuckle mixed with scents of white fruits and honey.

Palate:

Lively and aromatic, this cuvée showcases pure Marsanne with a vibrant mineral character. The finish is lightly spiced and will develop richer honeyed tones over time.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:
