Wine:

From the prestigious terroir of La Landonne, the 2020 red Côte-Rôtie Terrasses delivers a rich aromatic expression in a deep hue, showcasing the classic Syrah of the northern Rhône with notes of graphite, menthol, black pepper, and smoke. The wine's substantial density, full-bodied and fleshy, extends this magnificent array of aromas, framed by firm yet supple tannins that predict a serious aging potential of at least ten years. It meets and even exceeds the expectations for a great wine from this appellation. Rated 95/100 by the Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, 30% destemmed, aged on fine lees for 18 to 20 months in barrels, 20% of which are new.

Color:

Intense, brilliant red.

Nose:

Quite classic Syrah fruit, marked by notes of graphite, menthol, eucalyptus, Sichuan pepper and the speckled and larded notes typical of a Côte-Rôtie.

Palate:

Dense and full-bodied, this cuvée has firm tannins and lovely aromatic complexity.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C

Food and wine pairing:

Roast leg of doe, wild boar jig, veal escalope with chanterelles.

From now until 2034.
