Wine:

A pure Chasselas grown at 600 metres of altitude, the 2022 White Valais Fendant Coteaux de Plamont is a dry, high-energy wine that shines with freshness and tension. Notes of pear and acacia blossom are beautifully expressed, complemented by a subtle, warmer hint of brioche. The palate is finely chiseled, elegant, and poised, with a persistent finish lifted by delicate bitterness. This is a gastronomic white wine, perfect with lake or river fish, and it will also benefit from a few years of ageing. Rated 90/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Aged in stainless steel vats, on lees, for 8 months.
Single plot at the top of Les Claives, at an altitude of nearly 600 meters, on a granite terroir.

Certified organic and biodynamic.

Temperature:

Serve between 6 and 8°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Noble lake and river fish, hard cow cheeses.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2029, and even longer for enthusiasts.

A true icon of Swiss wine, Marie-Thérèse Chappaz has redefined the standards from her base in Fully. A pioneer of biodynamics for nearly 30 years and deeply committed to preserving biodiversity around her vineyards, she crafts wines of remarkable depth and elegance that are highly sought after by collectors and increasingly speculative.

Her 10-hectare vineyard is home to local varieties such as Petite Arvine, Humagne Rouge, and Cornalin, alongside Rhône Valley classics like Syrah and Marsanne. These grapes produce both dry and sweet wines that have become true benchmarks of quality and precision.
