Wine:

From the village of La Figuera and vintage of great concentration, the 2019 Red Montsant Com Tu offers ripe, generous aromas of fruit that are beautifully extracted. No harshness here but the full expression of this fiery terroir, in a beautiful balance and nuance of aromas. A complete wine, still in limbo, to be reserved three or four years from now for a grilled pork chop or a beef cheek. Rated 94/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Aged in tuns for 18 months. Bottled in April 2021.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Spice-grilled or oven-roasted poultry with paprika crapaudine, navarin lamb, beef cuts, duck breast and roasted peaches, grilled pork chop, goat's cheese.

A Priorat splendor, Clos Mogador is the work of the Barbier family, who fell in love with this amphitheater plunging into the Siurana River. A fairytale born in 1979, on this land exiled from Catalonia, one of the oldest vineyards on the Peninsula. Altitude, freshness, and varied exposure shape the wines that have become legendary: powerful, majestic red wines and a unique, dazzling white wine.
