The Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux is an Eldorado of great wines at low prices. And few people know it... This territory, which borders the Saint-Emilion crus and its neighbours, is home to the new recruits of the Bordeaux landscape; it is on these first-rate clay-limestone soils that Nicolas Thienpont, manager of the Pavie Macquin and Larcisse Ducasse crus classés, has set his sights.
Château Alcée benefits from the same care and attention as these great classified growths. The vines, a small enclosure of 6.5 hectares, are located on the plateau, alternating asteriated limestone and red clay.
