Wine:

The 2020 Red Beaune Premier Cru Les Sizies is a layered, age-worthy wine with a generous, approachable character. Its dense yet juicy tannic structure remains fresh and elegant, revealing notes of black and red berries, spices, and dark chocolate. The solid mid-palate hints at excellent aging potential, while the firm tannins will benefit from decanting if enjoyed young. A distinguished Premier Cru that fully lives up to its pedigree!

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, totally de-stemmed. Aged in oak barrels, 20% of which are new, for 14 months.

Color:

Bright red with good intensity.

Nose:

Complex aromatics oscillating between black and red fruit aromas, followed by chocolate and spicy notes.

Palate:

Full-bodied and delicious, with abundant notes of fruit, let yourself be charmed by this elegant, fresh and distinguished creation.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Roast rack of veal with chanterelles, poultry or guinea fowl with bacon and cabbage leaves, grilled and melting pork belly, sweetbreads and simple jus.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030.
