Wine:

The 2019 Beaune Premier Cru Coucherias White is a rare gem, nestled between Grèves and Champs Pimont, just above Clos des Mouches. Replanted in 2012, this limestone terroir now shines in this distinguished cuvée. In this vintage, it reveals pure, finely etched aromas of fresh mint, floral notes, and chalky minerality, subtly framed by gentle oak. The palate is concentrated without excess, beautifully balanced by its refined aging, delivering a harmonious profile with ripe, savory depth. Built for aging, this is a wine of clarity and elegance. Rated 94/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, pneumatic pressing, alcoholic and malolactic fermentations carried out in oak barrels. Aged for 17 months in oak barrels.

Bright, brilliant golden hue of remarkable intensity.

Nose:

Fresh and delicately mentholated, characterized by floral and chalky aromas.

Palate:

Ripe and concentrated, with fresh, vibrant aromas, this cuvée showcases remarkable purity. On the palate, it delivers precise, finely detailed flavors with a savory, well-defined character.

Temperature:

To be served between 10 and 12°C (50 and 54°F).

Food and wine pairing:

Ideal with fish or poultry in creamy sauce, or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.
