Wine:

A parcel selection from the namesake terroir, the 2021 red Côte Rôtie Chavaroche represents the pinnacle of the estate's range. An exemplary cuvée destined for long aging, it enchants us time and again. It offers an uncompromising interpretation of Syrah, in a pure, infused, and consistently fresh style. You will greatly appreciate it over the next decade, rated 94/100 by the Committee!

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, 70% destemmed, 3 week maceration in temperature-controlled concrete vats, regular pumping-over and punching-down.
Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels (20% new), lightly filtered before bottling, no fining.

Color:

Very dark, brilliant red, almost black, with violet highlights.

Nose:

This is a beautifully complex Syrah, with aromas of black fruit, smoke and violet.

Palate:

Pure and infused with fresh, delicate fruity flavors, this cuvée never ceases to delight us with its class and freshness, underlined by a decade of cellaring potential.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Hare terrine, matured rib of beef, leg of lamb from salt meadows, roast pigeon with porcini mushrooms.

From now until 2034.
