Château Coutet has always followed its own path, with an unmistakable charm and depth that linger long after the glass is empty. Anchored in limestone soils, the estate consistently produces wines of remarkable clarity, with vibrant freshness, a distinctive saline finish, and an unmistakable savory edge.The 2022 vintage is both rich and beautifully poised—despite its 158 grams of residual sugar, it carries itself with surprising lightness. Semillon leads with structure and intensity, Sauvignon Blanc brings lift and nuance, while a touch of Muscadelle adds a delicate spice. The result is a layered, expressive wine with notes of candied citrus, pear, fresh ginger, and pineapple. In the world of sweet wines, Château Coutet is undeniably one of the great names—a truly world-class estate.
Vinification:
Hand-harvested between September 26 and October 28, 2022, with four selective passes through the vineyard to pick only the ripest, most concentrated grapes. Fermentation took place in barrels, followed by 18 months of aging in French oak.Bottling is scheduled for June 2024.
