Despite the warmth of the vintage, it maintains a remarkable balance and constant freshness, steering clear of any excess. Its velvety texture, ultra-fine tannins, and abundant, juicy fruit create a wine of great depth, elegance, and complexity, with a restrained alcohol level that enhances its finesse. A rising star of Argentine wine, El Enemigo has quickly cemented its place among the country’s finest cuvées. But its influence stretches far beyond South America—its wines now stand shoulder to shoulder with the greatest Bordeaux crus.
Celebrated by critics and a favourite of Parker, the estate has become one of the world’s most exciting wineries, even earning a perfect 100/100 Parker score last year. Nestled south of Luján de Cuyo in Mendoza, it is the vision of Alejandro Vigil and his partner Adrianna Catena, whose dedication has propelled it to international acclaim.
Hailed as Argentina’s top winemaker, Alejandro Vigil crafts remarkably refined and elegant wines, showcasing Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot from the legendary terroirs of Gualtallary.
