A blend of old vines from the McLaren and Barossa valleys, the 2021 red Barossa Valley Tenacity illustrates the radiant face of Australian viticulture. This 100% Syrah from old vines offers a ripe nose of black fruit with freshness and a hint of spice. Full-bodied and plump, with smooth tannins and hints of dried herbs, this bold, powerful wine has a long, fresh finish. A Selection Committee Favorite rated 92/100.

Vinification:

Hand harvested from old Syrah vines. Aged in French oak barrels for 9 months.

Color:

Deep red with violet highlights.

Nose:

Elegant, with lovely aromas of ripe red fruit, underlined by delicate spicy notes and a floral touch of violet.

Palate:

The palate reveals a juicy, concentrated Syrah with delicate, savory tannins. Its balanced structure combines striking freshness with a long, mineral finish.

Temperature:

Decant before serving, between 16 and 18°C.
