Wine:

Fruity and delicate, the 2022 white Pessac-Léognan Croix de Carbonnieux displays great fresh fruit, pleasant vivacity and elegance. Notes of citrus and white flowers take turns around a fine, well-balanced structure, with well expressed fruit. An excellent bargain!

Vinification:

Hand-harvested with meticulous berry selection. Pressing, cold settling. Fermentation and ageing in barrels for 9 months, 25% of which are new.

Color:

Bright, luminous pale yellow.

Nose:

Subtly perfumed with aromas of exotic fruit and grapefruit underlined by a mineral touch.

Palate:

With impeccable freshness, this cuvée reveals a beautiful minerality on a fresh fruit, its vivacity offers a perfect balance.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Carpaccio of salmon with fresh mango, fillet of sea bream with citrus fruits, sole meunière.

An idol of Pessac-Léognan, Château Carbonnieux is one of the few châteaux whose reputation has been built around its white wine. Extremely delicate and elegant, it is undeniably one of the greatest of the Bordeaux vineyards.


Nowadays, the estate is at its peak and excels in both colors, with wines of remarkable intensity and aging potential. The regularity of the estate is rare enough to be underlined and whatever the vintage, Carbonnieux always expresses the best characteristics of the Léognan terroir.
