Les Griffons de Pichon Baron - Pauillac - Rouge - 2023

At the pinnacle of Pauillac's classified growths, facing the vineyards of Latour, Château Pichon Baron has been leading the way for a good fifteen years. Its perfectly drained gravel soils benefit from the microclimate along the Gironde, imparting the cru with its legendary power and sap, in a pure style that few can surpass.

Each year, we are captivated by its ability to express both its character and terroir, mastering the vintage with ease and intelligence. The estate achieves the remarkable feat of offering two second wines: one, Les Tourelles, characterized by its suppleness and fruit; the other, Les Griffons, more marked by its terroir. This combination remains undoubtedly the most consistent and esteemed in the Médoc, alongside Latour and its Forts de Latour.

These wines are intimately linked by their style and precision of execution, comprising a range of very high quality. The 2023 vintage is no exception, driven by 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, which embodies the style of the grand vin.
