Wine:
From a parcel of young 30-year-old vines planted at the top of the hillside on white marl soils of the Corton hill that form an enclave in the realm of reds, the 2018 white Beaune 1er Cru Champs Pimont is a quintessential Chardonnay wine. It is a true terroir for white wines, with 1.40 hectares of vines that deliver full and graceful bottles that have everything to please: an ideal wine and a perfect illustration of what this grape variety gives in Burgundy. Straightforward, saline, and bright, it reconciles precision and purity without losing its crisp flavors of fruit, structure, and richness. It is a great white wine for the table, salty and sapid, to be followed over 5 to 10 years. Rated 93-94/100 by the Committee.Vinification:

A prestigious signature crowned with top ratings from critics, Domaine Jacques Prieur shines at the pinnacle of French viticulture. It is the only estate to own a third of the Grands Crus of the Côte d’Or.
Its success and reputation are also closely tied to Nadine Gublin, the head winemaker since 1990, who has crafted a style that is both strikingly precise and uncompromising.
Under the leadership of the Labruyère family, this historic estate in the heart of the Côte de Beaune is likely experiencing its finest era. Renowned for its diverse terroirs and the quality of its wines, the estate is not just a reliable choice—it is an essential one. Since 1997, the 30 hectares of vineyards have been farmed organically (currently undergoing certification), producing exceptional grapes that are masterfully vinified. Every detail is meticulously executed, from perfectly measured aging to the personal touch of Nadine Gublin, ensuring nothing is left to chance.
