Pierre Girardin - Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru - La Croix - White - 2022

Wine:

The 2022 White Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru La Croix is situated in Aloxe-Corton, under the Croix de Corton, a prime southeast-facing slope. Aged entirely in new demi-muid barrels, it displays remarkable breadth, with vibrant, tension-filled energy that unfolds into flinty notes and a fresh, saline finish. This is an exceptional wine, crafted for both patience and the table.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, vinified and aged in 456-litre barrels for 12 months, 100% of which are new, then in stainless-steel vats for 5 months.

Color:

Bright, clear golden yellow.

Nose:

Notes of gunflint mixed with yellow and white fruit fragrances.

Palate:

Full of vitality, this cuvée offers a bright, taut, and fresh profile with a refined saline touch—built for aging and ideal for pairing at the table.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C in a large glass .

Food and wine pairing:

Lobster stew, braised sweetbreads, veal steak with morel mushrooms.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2038, and even longer for enthusiasts.
