Michel Bouzereau et Fils - Beaune 1er Cru - Vignes Franches - Rouge - 2021

Wine:

The 2021 red Beaune 1er Cru Les Vignes Franches is made from a half-hectare of predominantly limestone red soil, located just below the Clos des Mouches, which gives the wine its graceful and very dynamic élan. Deep and racy, marked by morello cherries and ripe cherries, it combines finesse and density with a very fresh acidic touch.

Vinification:

Hand harvested.
Aged for one year in oak barrels, 30% of which are new, then 4 months in vats.

Color:

Bright red with good intensity.

Nose:

Gourmet fragrances of morello cherry and ripe cherry.

Palate:

Delicate and dense at the same time, this wine of beautiful concentration delivers a deep, fresh juice with a fine acidulous note.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Noisette of doe with velvet sauce, filet mignon of pork, butcher's cuts, pheasant, furry game.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030.
