A 50/50 blend of century-old Grenache and Syrah, the 2022 Red Châteauneuf-du-Pape Fiancée is deeply colored, offering radiant notes of spice and violet. The wine is framed by fine tannins and displays impressive concentration. Ample and beautifully balanced, this is a superbly crafted wine, ideal for enjoying in 4 to 5 years alongside a slow-cooked meat dish. Rated 92/100 by RVF.Vinification:
Hand-harvested with precision, this wine combines Grenache from the Terres Blanches district—a century-old hillside vineyard known for its early ripening—with Syrah from the Cabrières district, a vibrant, youthful vineyard around 30 years old.Vinified in tulip-shaped concrete vats in a gravity-fed cellar, the wine undergoes a maceration of over four weeks with gentle extraction techniques. It is then aged for 18 months in tuns, resulting in a wine of remarkable balance and depth.

A hidden gem of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, praised by Best Sommelier in the World Olivier Poussier, Domaine La Barroche is celebrated for both the exceptional quality of its wines and its understated reputation.
Julien and Laetitia Barrot manage old vines, some over a century old, in the finest areas of the appellation, particularly in the northern sector near Rayas. Their dedication to freshness results in remarkable cuvées, available exclusively through allocation.
With small production volumes, aging in concrete tanks and large wooden vessels, and its singular focus on quality, this estate has become a highly sought-after name among wine enthusiasts and collectors.
