Wine:

Nearly 100% Marsanne and elegantly matured, the 2021 White Hermitage Nobles Rives showcases pure, fresh aromas, framed by a subtly balanced, noble oak influence. The palate reveals a true expression of the Hermitage terroir, where the new oak is seamlessly integrated into the wine’s texture. This harmonious, elegant, and refined wine is of great class, with genuine ageing potential, ensuring it will maintain its freshness and elegance over time. Rated 95/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, gently pressed. Cold settling for 24 to 48 hours. Alcoholic fermentation in vats at 18 & 20°C for part of the wine, and in barrels for another part, with racking during fermentation. Malolactic fermentation in wood for 90% of the volume.
Maturation in stainless steel tanks for part of the wine, then in 400L barrels for the remainder (25% new, 25% 1-wine and 25% 2-wine) on fine lees for 8 months.
Regular stirring of the lees.

Bright light gold.

Nose:

Pure and fresh, with discreet aromas and elegant oaky influences.

Palate:

Smooth and elegant with a fresh, polished character, this cuvée releases a refined texture and holds excellent ageing potential.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Aumonières of scallops, Brillat-Savarin with truffles, veal blanquette.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030.
