Wine:

Sourced from 40- to 60-year-old vines, the 2023 White Pouilly-Fuissé Les Châtaigniers Vieilles Vignes offers a captivating expression of Chardonnay on limestone soils. The concentrated, creamy nose unfolds with a mix of chalky minerality and toasted notes, immediately drawing you in. The oak aging is present yet refined, adding depth without overpowering the wine’s natural elegance. On the palate, it is generous and full-bodied, reflecting its beautiful ripeness with both concentration and finesse. A brief aeration upon opening allows it to fully reveal its character. This wine will evolve gracefully over the next six years and beyond. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.
