A fierce beauty, a unique terroir, and wines of infinite grace: the Canary Islands harbor an exhilarating micro-production, with Suertes del Marques showcasing the best of it. This unparalleled granite terroir, bordered by the ocean, draws on the volcanic slopes of the island’s north to create an extraordinary freshness. The wines produced here exude a new delicacy, breaking away from the overly generous stereotypes of Mediterranean wines.

Talented winemaker Jonathan Garcia has established the small estate of Las Canas on the heights of Tenerife, where ancient vines (ranging from 60 to 150 years old) thrive between 300 and 700 meters altitude, on the volcanic soils to the west of the Orotava Valley. The estate’s practices reflect the island’s ancestral traditions, from the use of indigenous grape varieties to aging in large wooden vats—everything here speaks of heritage and balance.
