A favorite of the selection committee and rated 93/100, the 2022 white Lirac La Reine des Bois offers a full and true expression of the southern Rhône. Notes of white peaches and delicate flowers contribute to a fresh, crystalline, and well-balanced ensemble. The clean structure, enhanced by its freshness, remains fine and delicate, with depth and presence, accentuated by Clairette, and beautiful mineral bitters in the finish. A gastronomic wine whose quality aging should be commended, it is best paired with freshwater fish, goat cheeses, or as an aperitif.

The 2021 red Lirac La Reine des Bois is a wine of high intensity and beautiful concentration, crafted from ripe and complex material, with notes of spices and black fruits. The perfectly integrated aging enhances the composition with nobility, allowing the character of each grape variety—Grenache, Syrah, and a touch of Mourvèdre—to express itself fully. This is a generous wine with a lovely density, a serious yet charming juice, featuring coated tannins. A great red from the south that will easily age for over 10 years. A must-have from the region.
