Wine:

The 2022 WO Swartland Palladius White is a remarkable white wine, built for aging and pairings, and an exceptional success in this vintage. Notes of green apple, citrus, mineral nuances, and stone fruits blend harmoniously within a framework of outstanding balance—both refined and full-bodied. Its marked acidity is complemented by firm tannins and a long, expressive finish.

Complex and compelling, this wine is vinified in amphorae and concrete tanks before being aged in large foudres, offering a character that is sure to leave a lasting impression. Rated 97/100 by James Suckling.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Vinification using indigenous yeasts. Whole grapes pressed and vinified in amphorae and ovoid concrete vats. Aged for 12 months on lees, then 12 months in tuns.
