Each wine in the collection, inspired by a card from the Tarot de Marseille, offers a unique experience, whether it highlights a specific vintage, grape variety, or terroir. Every cuvée reveals a different aspect of wine, shaped by Vignon’s innovative spirit and intuition. Rather than following strict conventions, he adapts his approach to each vintage, choosing to showcase a particular year, grape, terroir, or ancient vine.
This freedom to explore various appellations, or even step outside them under the Vin de France label, gives Xavier Vignon the flexibility to constantly innovate and craft the wines he truly envisions.

Like a master card player, he skillfully selects terroirs, grape varieties, and vintages, breaking free from the constraints of appellations and trends. Each cuvée is a unique combination, born from his blending expertise, deep understanding of his "playground" in the Southern Rhône Valley, and his constant drive for exploration.
INSPIRATION
“No matter how many times you have the same cards, the game is never the same…” When Xavier Vignon talks about the creation of the first Arcane cuvée (2010), card-related language naturally flows from his lips. And once you understand the creative process behind it, the comparison makes perfect sense. Each Arcane label draws inspiration from the Marseille Tarot deck, specifically the Sforza-Visconti family edition, created in 1451.
